On July 22, 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation issued Decree No. 1249 which is an amendment to Appendix No. 18 of Decree No. 353 with immediate effect. The decree simplifies import and labelling requirements for products.

The main points are as follows:

1. For products in the EAEU EAC DoC / CoC category, it is not required to provide relevant DoC / CoC authorization certificates, such as PoA (authorization letter) to the Russian customs when importing;

2. By March 1, 2023, products that meet the technical specifications of the Russian Federation can be sold in the market with conformity mark.
