On March 1, 2023, The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Oman issued several notifications as below:

1.  Starting from April 1, 2023, mobile phones imported to Oman for commercial purposes must support VoLTE features;

2.  2G and 3G will be suspended in Oman starting in Q3 of 2024 with the least populated areas.
